Large-scale inflatable, 40' x 20' x 20'

BLAM! is a large-scale inflatable for public spaces, influenced by two forms for expressing sound: the gramophone horn and comic strip graphics. The hybrid shape is open on either end to encourage visitors to interact both with each other and public space: to 'speak' into the environment, or to listen to the sounds of their surroundings.

For McMullen_Winkler's Kodak Moments exhibition in Purdue University's Rueff Galleries, BLAM's sound amplification and broadcasting concept became part of live performaces by Drumkit and Nofuturo as well as a live FM broadcast of the shows from within the inflatable by Radio Chiguiro.
